Halloween Letter from Ms. Cole

Below please find Mrs. Cole's letter regarding Halloween.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

October 2015

Hello Ghouls and Goblins,

Halloween is an exciting time at Mann School and our annual parade is something our community looks forward to each year. As we prepare for our Halloween celebration in the coming weeks we want to make you aware of a few things.

Please remember
  • no weapons (knives, guns, etc) or portrayals of violence
  • no blood-like paint
  • no culturally offensive or insensitive costumes
  • lunch will be from 12:00-1:15pm for all grades
  • students can be picked up for lunch on the playground at 12:00pm (please notify classroom teacher at least one day prior)
  • students remaining in the building during lunch will put on their costumes after lunch
  • classroom parties will be food-free celebrations
  • all visitors must check in the office before going to classrooms
  • If needed, Kindergarten students can come to school dressed in their costumes however, grades 1st-5th should not be dressed in costumes

Schedule Friday, October 30th
7:55-12:00pm  Regular Morning (be sure to pack a large nut-safe snack and water bottle)
12:00-1:15pm- lunch all grades levels
12:00pm- (optional) students dismissed home from playground lines
1:15pm- students return to playground lines
1:15-2:30pm- classroom parties
2:30-2:50pm- outside parade
2:50pm-get ready for dismissal  

In case of inclement weather, parade will be moved indoors and communication will be made with families via email by 11:00am that day.

Any families that prefer their child(ren) not take part in the Halloween celebrations please speak with your child’s teacher about the alternate activity.
